Ola Cabs to Deliver OnePlusX

Ola Cabs, which is one of the fastest growing taxi business in India today, has now tied up with one of the country’s most exclusive and fastest growing smartphone brand OnePlus. The tie-up has been made to deliver customers with a revolutionary purchase experience. The cab operator will have your invite-only phone delivered to your door step and yes, cash on delivery is available.

Karan Sarin, OnePlus Marketing Head (India) said, “People love our products and we are enhancing the experience by making it even more convenient for our fans to get their hands on a OnePlus phone now.”

How does it work?

Well, here’s the deal, the phone is exclusively available on Amazon.in and the OnePlus X model, which was launched last month, can only be purchased once you have been invited by the Chinese cellphone manufacturer. OnePlus X is priced at Rs. 16,999 and features a 5.0 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The screen flaunts a full HD 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. “Under the hood”  the phone comes with the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, which is powered by 2.3 GHz Krait 400 with Adreno 330,  Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, featuring 3 GB RAM. The phone comes with a standard 16 GB built-in memory, which is expandable to an additional 128 GB. Other gizmos include an 8 megapixel front and 13 megapixel rear camera and energizing this device is a 2525 mAh battery.

The phone goes on sale tomorrow and the company claims the device will be delivered to your doorstep in under 15 minutes. To avail this offer, the user has to use the Ola Cabs app, anytime between 10 AM to 7 PM and click on ‘OnePlusX’ icon, following which the user has to tap on ‘Ride Now’ and provide confirmation.

Once you have placed your order a cab will arrive at your doorstep to collect the card or cash payment of Rs. 16,999. However, the catch is that this is the first-of-its-kind offer in the country and is only available in cities listed below:
