Ever since its revelation at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011, the Fiat Panda has been an important part of the conversations. The 2013 Fiat Panda is a city car with all-wheel drive, crossover version which was spotted last winter and the spy pictures revealed that the car resembles Skoda Yeti. The spotted prototype of the Panda 4X4 was nicely camouflaged and the spy shots were a big help but now we have got something better, the patent drawings that give us a deep insight into the styling changes that have been rendered to this car.
The images reveal that the new Panda has gained few inches in the height on account of the increased suspension travel. On the outside, the car flaunts plastic moldings around the wheel arches and the lower body parts. The rear and the front bumpers have been freshly designed and now hold shining silver skid plats, the fog lamps on the front have been bestowed with new housings. Both the petrol and diesel avatars are expected to be associated with the car. The 1.3L MultiJet 2 turbodiesel 74bhp engine from Fiat Punto and Linea is expected to make its way in. The 2013 Fiat Panda is going to adopt the 4x4 all wheel drive architecture from its precursor. Ahead of its rear differential, this system supports hydraulic actuated multi-plate clutch.
The neoteric crossover will be debuting at the 2012 Paris Motor Show this year and will be put up for sale toward the end of 2012 or the beginning of the next year. Nothing has been made official about the Indian launch of Panda but it is expected to happen sometime in 2013. This car is a real performer and it’s anticipated to turn the fate of Fiat Motors in India with its supposed success.
