Peugeot agrees a new strategic partnership in Saudi Arabia with Haji Husein Alireza & Co. Ltd

Today, in Jeddah, a new agreement was signed between Automobiles Peugeot and the Group Haji Husein Alireza & Co. Ltd (HHA). With a combined history of over 300 years between the two companies, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia can look forward to new levels of service from the Peugeot brand and its new partner. Peugeot was keen to reinforce its presence in a Saudi Arabian market that is expected to reach 600,000 vehicles in 2012, and further expand to 1 million units by 2017. Thus promising to be one of the largest in the Middle East.

The HHA Group will create from scratch a fully operational Peugeot Dealer network with 18 Sales and 22 Service points in order to contribute to the development of the Peugeot brand image and to fulfill the commercial objectives that have been set to quickly establish the awareness of the brand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Initially, a wide range of products will ensure market coverage of approximately 50% to satisfy differing needs:-206+ & 207 for the young urban customers,308 & 3008 for married couples,308 SW & 5008 for families,508 for businessmen,RCZ for sports car enthusiasts, a Coupé Cabriolet range for car lovers and a range of LCV vehicles with Partner & Boxer.

This initial product offering will later be supplemented by other vehicles to further enhance the Saudi Arabian market coverage.At the occasion of the Press Conference celebrating the inauguration of this new partnership, Vincent Rambaud, Peugeot Brand CEO said, “This agreement, with a Group having wide experience in automotive distribution is highly promising for the future development of the brand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I would especially like to thank Sheikh Amin Abulhasan, President of HHA for joining forces with us and for the investment his company is making in this partnership which, I am sure will rapidly bring mutual benefits for both our companies”.
