Range Rover Evoque to launch in India by 2011 end

Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is expected to launch in India at the end of 2011. Range Rover Evoque price is expected to start from Rs 49 lakh. The Range Rover Evoque will be launched in three door coupe and five door SUV style and both the models are likely to be priced heavily. Not much detail is revealed about three-door coupe version of Range Rover Evoque except that it will be launched in ‘Dynamic’ variant housing a 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine producing 237 bhp power. However, the five door Range Rover Evoque will be launched in three trim levels- Range Rover Evoque ‘Pure’, Range Rover Evoque ‘Prestige’ and Range Rover Evoque ‘Dynamic’.

All of these will come packed with a 2.2 litre common rail turbo engine churning out the maximum power of 187 bhp. It is most likely that engines will be mated to six-speed automatic gear transmission. Range Rover Evoque will essentially be a 4X4 drive and not a 4X2 drive as speculated earlier. Albeit Range Rover Evoque Pure being the base variant, is quite well designed. The crossover SUV will be offered with power packed featured like Range Rover’s Terrain Response off-road system, 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, fixed panoramic glass roof, remote central locking, electrically adjusted front seats, climate control, exotic leather upholstery, a touch-screen audio, Xenon headlamps, Bluetooth connectivity and an 11-speaker Meridian audio system. Range Rover Evoque features in its Prestige variant are likely to comprise of a luxury interior and exterior styling kit, contrast painted roof, 18-inch alloy wheels, premium leather seats and keyless entry.  Range Rover Evoque Dynamic variant will share all the features on Pure and Prestige variants and in addition will have a sporty exterior and interior styling kit along with perforated leather seats.
