If some reports are to be believed, Lamborghini may debut the rear-wheel-drive Huracan at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show. Lamborghini has sent out invites for a global product debut at LA and RWD Huracan seems to be the most probable model. The reports are not just rumours but are based on facts that the Italian raging bull did offer a rear-wheel-drive Gallardo, Huracan’s predecessor.
The Huracan is now available only in All-wheel-drive options as LP 610-4 and LP 610-4 Spyder for the public. Both the models are powered by a 5.2-litre V10 engine putting out 602 hp and 560 Nm of torque. While the roofed version sprints to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, the Spyder does the same in 3.4 seconds. There’s a rear-wheel-drive Huracan already but only for the tracks in the form of LP 620-2 Super Trofeo.
The RWD Huracan will be lighter making it more powerful than the AWD variants. And there would probably be a Spyder version following. Keep watching this space for more info.
