Renault Duster with its Pre-Launch Promotion Campaign

It’s Big, It’s Beautiful. It’s Efficient. And it’s coming soon… that’s how car fanatics, Indian auto industry, media and other car manufacturers are describing the upcoming Renault Duster. Speculations are multifold but what exactly will the first-of-its-kinds SUV turn out to be, we’ll all find out very soon. Through emails, pre-bookings, TV commercials; Renault is all over the top about the launch of Duster which is set for 4th of July.
The promotions for the Duster are said to be a part of multi-media communication campaign. It is being positioned as an alternate to a sedan and further reinforcing this is the pre-launch commercial that was released recently, which states “Our apologies to everyone who just bought a sedan.”
The SUV has striking looks and would be coming in with multiple variants all together. The base variant will be powered by 1.6-litre petrol engine whereas the diesel base variant will be a 1.5-litre engine which powers the Renault Fluence as well. The anticipated price range of the Duster is between Rs.8 - Rs. 11 Lakhs. The 1.6-litre engine will come mated to 5-speed manual transmission delivering a power of 100bhp and the 1.5-litre will be mated with a 6-speed manual transmission and will produce a power of 108bhp.
Looking at the fantastic response that the pre-bookings received, it seems that the Indian market is ready for Duster with open arms. This compact SUV will surely change the way India sees the SUVs, hopefully it would be a positive change. For now Renault looks very confident regarding the Duster. Whether or not this confidence reciprocates into result, we’ll soon find out.
