Renault has already mentioned its plans to launch the much awaited hatchback Renault Pulse on January 6th. Apparently, the French car manufacturer does have a concept model Renault DeZir electric in store for the 2012 Auto Expo. Few among us might have already witnessed this concept model which was put up for a display once before at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. All the same, Renault India finds it worthy to bring the DeZir concept once again this time for the prestigious Indian Auto Expo 2012. The Renault two-seater electric concept car is extremely eye-catching to begin with.

Right from the scissor doors which open out in opposite directions on each side to the powerful 21” wide tyres of the concept car is not something we get to see very often. The beauty of the car is the red and white combination used in the interiors of the car and it would definitely be interesting if Renault adopts this styling for its future line-up. However, what takes the cake is the li-ion all electric battery of the car which generates an unbelievable 150 Bhp peak power and a 226 Nm maximum torque and the lightweight body frame of the car attributed by the Kevlar makes it all the more possible.

The car is literally feather-light weighing mere 830 kg in weight. The car keeps the capacity to travel a 160 km per single charge. The car accelerates at an impressive speed of 0-100 kmph in 5 seconds. If Renault does adopt the concept styling for its India line-up, it has to think twice about the ground clearance as the concept has extremely low value for this at 110 mm.
