Reva looking for partners in overseas market

India based Electric car-Manufacturer Reva is looking for business partners to set up new manufacturing facilities in overseas markets like the US, Europe and Australia. While talking to reporters Company's Deputy Chairman and Chief Technology Officer Chetan Maini said, We are looking for partners in 4-5-countries to set up manufacturing facilities and especially in the US, Australia and Europe. We are in talks with some companies, but nothing has been finalized so far.

The company is planning to set up a new plant in Bangalore by the end of second quarter next year. The new plant will take production capacity of the company to 30,000 units in next three years. Currently the Bangalore facility of the company has an annual production capacity of 6000 units. The company has plans to launch a new electric car model Reva NXR in the family car segment as well as the Reva NXG model as a next generation car by the year 2011.Mr Maini added that The new plant with a capacity of 30,000 vehicles will be commissioned next year. The total investment is Rs 30-crore excluding land. We will invest more for the expansion of the plant once it becomes operational,
