Six Out Of 10 Hyundai Alcazar Buyers Opted For Diesel Variants

The three-row SUV has registered over 11,000 bookings in just a month

• Over 5,600 units have been sold since its launch on June 18. 

• One-third of the bookings were for the top-end Signature variants. 

• 63 percent buyers opted for the Alcazar diesel variants. 

• The Hyundai Alcazar gets 159PS 2.0-litre petrol and 115PS 1.5-litre diesel engines, paired with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. 

Hyundai has reported over 11,000 bookings for the Alcazar in just a month of its launch, with 5,600 units sold in the same period. 

One-third of the bookings were for the top-end Signature variants. A total of 63 percent buyers opted for the diesel variants. The Hyundai Alcazar is available in three trims: Prestige, Platinum and Signature. 

Under the hood, you get two engine options -- 159PS 2.0-litre petrol and 115PS 1.5-litre diesel -- both paired with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. It is available in 6- and 7-seater row configurations, depending on the variant chosen. 

It features LED headlamps, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, front row ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat, Bose premium sound system, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology, and wireless charging for the first and second row (only for the six-seater variant). Safety is covered by rear disc brakes, electronic stability control, hill start assist control, tyre pressure monitoring system, up to six airbags, blind spot monitor, and a 360-degree camera.
