Riding on the success of the Skoda Kushaq, the manufacturer has confirmed that it is opening more showrooms by August 2021. With this, Skoda will have its presence in over 100 cities across the country and 170 customer touch points, which include showrooms and service centers.
Skoda has received more than 200 dealership applications, including new dealers and existing ones who want to expand. Showrooms will open up from next month in cities such as Sangli (Maharashtra), Bhilwara (Rajasthan), Faridabad, Panchkula (both Haryana), Navsari, Vapi (both Gujarat) and Hardoi (UP). By the end of 2022, Skoda will have over 225 touch points across India.
The Skoda Kushaq is the latest compact SUV to enter the market, priced from Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 17.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and is available in three variants - Active, Ambition and Style.
The Kushaq can be had with either a 115PS 1-litre or a 150PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. While a 6-speed manual transmission is standard for both the engines, the 1.0-litre also gets a 6-speed automatic, while the 1.5-litre gets a 7-speed DSG (Dual Clutch Automatic) as an option.
Features onboard include ventilated front seats, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a sunroof, ambient lighting, and cruise control. Safety features include up to six airbags, a rear parking camera, multi-collision braking, tyre pressure monitoring, and electronic stability control as standard.
