The facelifted Kia Seltos looks more aggressive than before and gets new premium touches inside and out
Update (21/07/2023): Kia has launched the facelifted Seltos in India with prices starting at Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
After a long wait, we finally got our first look at the India-spec facelifted Kia Seltos. The carmaker will start taking orders for the SUV from July 14 and we expect the launch sometime in mid-August 2023. With the midlife refresh, the Seltos has gotten a few design and feature upgrades to get up to speed with the increasing level of competition.
In this story, let’s check out the exterior and interior of the updated SUV via the gallery below:
Front
The front, although now hosting a bunch of changes, is still recognisable as that of the Kia SUV. With the facelift, the Seltos has now been given a wider and bigger grille sporting a honeycomb pattern and the LED DRLs running up to its centre.
Kia has provided the facelifted Seltos with updated LED headlights (now featuring the “heartbeat” LED DRLs) and dynamic turn indicators located just below the main lighting setup.
Lower down, the Seltos comes with a redone front bumper with angular fog lamp housings for the GT Line and X-Line variants. The Tech Line variants, however, get a simpler housing for the fog lamps. Kia is now also offering a 4-piece LED fog lamp setup instead of a 3-part unit, a silver skid plate and the advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) radar in the front bumper.
Side
If there’s one angle from where the Seltos seems the most familiar it’s from the profile. The only addition is the inclusion of the stylish, dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels that have filtered down from the X-Lime trim to the GT Line variants.

Rear
The most significant update to the rear of the SUV is the new connected LED taillight setup. With the update, the Seltos now sports either the “GT” or “7DCT” badge on the bottom right side of the tailgate which varies depending on the variant chosen.
Another big design update is the dual tip exhaust setup for the GT Line and X-Line variants, looking as sporty as its engine seems on paper. We expect it to offer a distinctive exhaust note as well.
Cabin
With the facelift, the Seltos now also comes in a black and brown cabin theme, while the black and grey look has been retained for the GT Line variants. The inserts around the cabin and the finish for the leatherette seats depend upon the variant chosen and include brown, black and green shades.
The updated dashboard and console now feature slimmer central AC vents along with a revised climate control panel for the new dual-zone AC system. The dashboard now houses the dual 10.25-inch integrated displays (one for infotainment and the other for instrumentation).
While both the front seats get ventilation functionality, it’s only the driver seat that has an 8-way power adjustment function.
One of the most awaited updates is the panoramic sunroof that could elevate the overall cabin experience but also affect the rear headroom. At the back, the Seltos comes with 3-point seatbelts (which was added only a few months ago to the existing model) and adjustable headrests for all passengers.
