Tata gets ready to launch Nano soon

Tata Motors is now ready to launch its small car, Tata Nano in the early next year. Tata wants some of its customers to get the feel and touch of this most awaited model that will be rolled out from Pantnagar based manufacturing plant of Tata in Uttarakhand.
Ravi Kant, Managing Director, Tata, said that they are looking at something to bring Nano out as soon as possible from one of their existing plants as an interim arrangement. These will be small quantities and they also wants a few customers at least to have a touch and feel of Tata Nano. He also added that from the Sanad manufacturing plant larger quantities of the car will be rolled out after a year or so.
Ravi Kant denied that Nano will be rolled out from its Gujarat based manufacturing plant this year. He added that it will take at least an year for the Tata Nano to roll out from the Gujarat plant. He also did not comment on the number of cars which will roll out from its interim location. The expected launch date of the first few models of Tata Nano is between January to March 2009.
