Note: The above mentioned data is only an approximation and the actual waiting period might differ depending on the variant, powertrain and colour chosen.
Jeep Compass: Of all the cities in our list, the longest wait for a new Compass is 1 month for buyers in Kolkata. Those in Chennai have to wait the least, 1 week, while the average waiting time for buyers in most other cities is between 2 to 3 weeks. The Compass is also getting a new variant in the lineup with the launch of the Trailhawk in June.
Hyundai Tucson: Buyers in Coimbatore, Pune, Hyderabad and Mumbai don’t have any waiting time delays to collect a new Hyundai Tucson. The longest wait of 6 weeks to take delivery will be endured by Tucson buyers in Ghaziabad. On average, the Hyundai mid-size SUV has a waiting period of 2 to 3 weeks again. However, for Delhi and Kolkata buyers the wait is just 5 days and 10 days for those in Bengaluru and Chennai.
Mahindra XUV500: The longest wait to take delivery of a new XUV500 is 6 weeks for buyers in Mumbai. However, those in Faridabad, Indore, Patna, Ghaziabad, Jaipur, Bengaluru and New Delhi can potentially get a new one off the lot without any waiting. For Noida buyers the XUV500 commands a 1 week wait while for most others it ranges between 3 weeks to a month.
Tata Harrier: As the newer and more affordable SUV, the Harrier has a longer waiting time on average compared to the Hexa. Those in Chennai and Chandigarh can get a new Harrier off the lot while the longest waiting period extends upto 3 months for buyers from Gurugram, Patna, Pune, Ghaziabad and Coimbatore. For the rest of the cities, the wait time for a new Harrier SUV can range between 1 week to 6 weeks.
Tata Hexa: While the Harrier is a better fit in the segment as a 5-seater mid-size SUV, the Hexa brings the extra seating capacity to compete with the Mahindra XUV500. It is readily available in Chennai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Thane, Indore and Noida. Those in Chandigarh and Bengaluru have the longest wait of upto 6 weeks. Hexa buyers in Mumbai, Pune, Coimbatore and Hyderabad have to wait close to a month till delivery while Lucknow residents can get one in a week’s time. The average wait time for the rest of the cities is around 2 weeks.
