For three years in a row, Mercedes-Benz dealership has maintained to be on the top without stumbling even once as per the U.S. automakers’ Pied Pipers’ study that randomly surveys the secret shoppers to determine how the dealerships treat their car shoppers. It has been noted that Mercedes-Benz, a Daimler AG brand stood first followed by Jaguar of Tata Motors brand was tied up with the Lexus, the luxury brand of Toyota Motor Corp. for the second position. According to the Pied-Piper study, the Toyota‘s U.S. dealerships and Chrysler’s Ram pickup truck dealers topped the main-stream market brands, while low-volume brands Suzuki and Mitsubishi ranked the lowest in customer satisfaction among dealerships.
Chrysler is managed by Italy’s Fiat SpA. The dealerships of Mini, Buick, Scion, Infiniti and Jeep managed to improve their customer service as per the study. However, in the luxury brand sales chart, there was a tight race between Mercedes-Benz dealership and BMW overtaking the Lexus very slightly. Lexus was behind only because of the Japan earthquake and tsunami in March that has cramped the production.
It has been observed that, with slight variations, the brands that were selling the least per dealership have fared up low on the Pied Piper study chart according to Fran O’ Hagen, CEO of California based, Pied Piper.
