Tata Nano can be sold in Brazil

Tata Motors had introduced the small car, Tata Nano as the world’s cheapest car in 2010. The pride of domestic engineering, the Tata Nano had been well acclaimed across the world. Now, Brazil is yet another nation to show its interest in marketing the small car in the South American market. Mr Antonio Augusto Anastasia, the Governor of Minas Gerais in Brazil has apparently held discussions with Ratan Tata, Chairman of Tata Group on behalf of their nation to market the small car, Nano in Brazil.

Despite the recent setbacks to Tata Nano sales owing to its fire catching incidents, the Tata Motors is looking to ramp up the small car sales through exports. The leading auto major had recently initiated exporting the small car to other markets including Nepal and Sri Lanka. Moreover, Tata Motors is mulling to set up the assembly plants in these nations to enable the exports via Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units route.

Anastasia, who had been in India to strengthen the relations between the two nations had said that they are looking forward to enhance the good relationship between the countries to next level by establishing corporate companies in India. Apparently, they are looking to invest in other areas like energy, automobiles, IT and aeronautics to promote the bilateral commerce.
