Tata is working on giving the Nexon a facelift and once again, we spotted its test mule. We were able to get a good look at the car from all angles and here’s what changes you can expect from the facelifted Nexon..
The front end of the car now features sharper styling, making it look more aggressive. The headlamps have become sleeker and the grille is also moving away from the current honeycomb design.
In profile, the test mule of the facelifted Nexon looked exactly like the current-gen Nexon, save for the front end, which gets a distinctive new headlamp. The alloy wheels on the test mule are similar to that of the current car.
At the rear, the tail lamp looks similar to the current setup but the entire car was covered in camo at the back. Hence, we suspect that Tata will tweak the design of the rear bumper as well.

While we didn’t catch a glimpse of the interior, we expect Tata to offer a part-digital instrument cluster, a new steering wheel, cruise control, ambient lighting and some more added features. This is because these features will be available in the upcoming premium hatchback, Altroz.
The facelifted Nexon is expected to arrive at the 2020 Auto Expo, with an option to choose from either the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol or the 1.5-litre diesel. However, we expect both of these engines to meet BS6 emission norms by that time.
We expect the facelifted Nexon to be priced at a premium of Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 lakh, as it will meet BS6 norms. Also, if you are holding out for an electric version of the Nexon, that will be out in Q1 of 2020 and will likely be based on the facelifted Nexon.
