Tesla Cybertruck Gets Even Cooler With These Accessories For Your Adventures

Tesla is providing a range of accessories for the Cybertruck, some of which are particularly oriented for off-road trips such as crossbars and a tailgate ramp

It was back in late 2019 that we first got to see the crazy Tesla Cybertruck. Ever since then, the entire world has been going crazy over the design and versatility of this bonkers all-electric pickup. Tesla has now finally started delivering the Cybertruck, whose production-ready version was unveiled only recently. Being an adventure-oriented pickup, Tesla is also offering it with a range of accessories to help you during those uncharted-terrain trips:

Light Bar

As if the electric pickup’s full-LED light strip placed at the front isn’t enough, Tesla has introduced another slim white-light bar that can be placed on the top of the roof. Tesla says it’s capable of illuminating up to 525 yards (480 metres) of the road ahead.

Basecamp

Another outdoor essential while going on adventures is a tent to set up a camp stretching out the back of your Tesla pickup. The Cybertruck’s basecamp includes the tent assembly, awning and awning poles, and an air pump. Tesla claims the basecamp is suitable to fit in two adults and can be inflated within minutes.

Spare Wheel With Tool Kit

When going off-roading, one of the essentials could be a spare wheel in case there’s a flat-tyre situation. Tesla is providing the option of a covered spare wheel on the payload bay along with a tool kit as well. The Cybertruck gets a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 20-inch wheel with the standard large all-terrain tyres, and a tool kit inclusive of a jack, hex tool and a wheel cover removal tool. It does eat into your storage, but could be a worthwhile option depending on where you’re taking the Cybertruck.

Range Extender

If the claimed range figure of up to 550 km isn’t enough for you, the EV maker is also offering a range extender as part of the accessory. It’s basically an additional toolbox-sized battery pack placed in the pickup’s bed, offering a total of over 750 km of claimed range.

Body Wrap

One accessory item that comes as a surprise in this list is body wrap, useful as almost every car will roll off the production line in the same colour of the stainless steel. Tesla claims the Cybertruck’s body wrap is a urethane-based self-healing film that can protect the pickup against scratches which can be helpful on those off-road journeys. The EV maker is offering two body wrap options: Satin Black and Satin White.

Tailgate Ramp

When the Tesla Cybertruck was initially revealed, it was also showcased with an all-terrain 4-wheeled vehicle called the Tesla Cyberquad, which could be carried in the payload bay of the pickup. To help you mount your off-roading toy of choice on board the Cybertruck, the EV maker is selling a 3-fold tailgate ramp, capable of also carrying other equipment with a load-bearing capacity of around 350 kg.

Crossbars Roof-rack

For carrying the off-road elements like bikes and other gear, the Cybertruck can also be fitted with two crossbars on the roof. They can carry equipment weighing up to roughly 100 kg.

These are all the adventure-specific accessories being offered on the Tesla Cybertruck, with many other accessory items aimed at increasing the user convenience being at disposal too. That includes items like hooks and bins for managing storage in the rear payload area, floor mats, glass roof sunshade and cabin storage organisers.

Its entire variant lineup and electric powertrain options were revealed recently along with many other interesting design and practicality details as well. Closer home, Tesla’s India arrival still remains unconfirmed but we have detailed when we think that is likely to happen.
