1. Maruti Suzuki Alto
Alto regained its throne of being India's top selling car last month with a big bang! Alto brand which comprises K10 and 800 recorded 30499 sales last month. Certainly, the excise duty cut getting over last month fueled the sales. The hatchback from the Maruti lost the title to Dzire in May 2014.
2. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R
Wagon R brand which comprises of the LPG, CNG and Stingray variants saw 45.6 percent rise to 17119 units last month. Its tall boy design, practicality, easy ingress and egress has always helped this 'Blue Eyed' boy in sales.
3 & 4. Maruti Suzuki Dzire (Third) and Swift (Fourth)
The sales of Swift and Swift Dzire are down last month compared to the whooping sales in May 2014. Having said that, though the sales are down but the duo continues to top their respective segment. 13632 Swifts were sold last month compared to 17936 in May 2014, while 15990 Dzires were sold this month with a drop of 15 percent compared to May.

5. Mahindra Bolero
Bolero keeps the M&M afloat always; it is undoubtedly the top selling utility vehicle for years. The company sold 7909 Boleros last month slightly down compared to May 2014 sales. The low maintenance, ruggedness, powerpacked engine and features make it the best utility vehicle in India.
6. Hyundai - Grand i10
The Grand i10 is running strong since its launch and is giving fierce competition to its arch rival Swift. The Grand i10 saw a slight fall last month, the Korean automaker sold 7901 units last month compared to 9317 units in May 2014.
7. Honda City
The débutante diesel generation of India's favorite mid-size sedan - Honda City, has certainly pushed the manufacturer to third in the list of highest car selling manufacturers in the country. The City equipped with the most fuel efficient diesel engine in India – the 1.5 liter i-DTEC is surely pulling the sales chart of Honda. The company sold 7715 units of City last month with a profit of 6.9 percent compared to last month. Check the on-road price of Honda City in your region.
8. Honda Amaze
The Amaze started the diesel journey of Honda India and was an overnight success. Thought it suffered a lil' dip for a while but the compact sedan has picked-up lately. Honda India sold 7073 units of Amaze in June 2014 with a profit of 48.9 percent.
9. Hyundai Xcent
The Xcent is going strong ever since its inception. Hyundai India sold 7069 units of Xcent last month with a minuscule loss of 723 units compared to May 2014. 10. Hyundai Eon
The entry level hatchback from the Korean manufacturer - Eon saw a slight rise of 4 percent with 6579 units sold last month compared to 6300 in May 2014, courtesy to the new 1.0 liter Kappa engine recently added to the car.
