In the last full week of October, there have been many international showcases from brands like Maruti and Renault, while Skoda gives us the sneak peek of the new-gen Superb through its design sketch. During the same week, automakers like Citroen and Jeep have revised the prices of some of their models, while MG also confirmed price revisions of its two popular SUVs from next month. New-gen Maruti Swift and eVX Showcased

At the ongoing Japan Mobility Show 2023, Maruti took the wraps off the new-generation Swift and the eVX electric SUV. Both of these cars have been showcased in their near production avatar. In India, we are expecting the new Swift to be launched by early 2024, while eVX electric SUV could go on sale here by sometime in 2025.

Citroen C3 Prices Slashed

For the ongoing festive season, Citroen has reduced the prices of the C3 hatchback for a limited period of time. The French automaker has also organised a service camp for its existing customers which is already running from October 17. Customers can get benefits on labour charges, select accessories, and parts.

New-gen Renault Duster Unveiling Confirmed

The new-generation Renault Duster will be unveiled globally by the end of November. As per reports, it will be based on the brand’s CMF-B platform and it is likely to be offered with multiple powertrain options, including one hybrid. In India, the new-gen Renault Duster could be launched by 2025.

Renault Kardian Showcased

In its recently held press conference at Rio de Janeiro, Renault has unveiled its newest compact SUV, the Kardian. The Kardian also marks the debut of the carmaker’s new modular platform. As per reports, this new platform will be localised in countries like India, namely Latin America, North Africa and Turkey. 

MG Hector & Hector Plus Price Hike Confirmed

MG is all set to give two of its famous SUVs, the Hector and Hector Plus, a price hike from next month. In September 2023, MG reduced the prices of these SUVs owing to the ongoing festive season.

Skoda Superb Design Revealed

Just two months after showcasing the interior of the fourth-generation Skoda Superb, the Czech automaker has now teased the exterior design sketches of the new Superb. The 2024 Skoda Superb carries Skoda’s new Modern Solid design language. Skoda is set to unveil this new gen Superb next month.

BYD Cars Crash Tested By Euro NCAP

The BYD Seal electric sedan got crash tested Euro NCAP and it has scored a perfect 5-star safety ratings. Another BYD model which was tested by the Euro NCAP was the Dolphin, which also achieved the same safety ratings and scores as the Seal.

Kia Carnival Facelift Revealed

The new-gen Kia Carnival was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 in India, which has been given a refresh and unveiled. This new Kia Carnival follows the brand’s new ‘Opposites United’ design language. The India-bound Kia Carnival is expected to be launched by 2024.

Spy Shots This Week

This week’s spy shots include upcoming SUVs from Tata and Mahindra. The Tata Curvv was seen testing revealing its coupe design, while we have yet again spotted the 5-door Mahindra Thar from the rear.

BMW X4 M40i Launched In India

The BMW X4 has returned to India in a sportier avatar, in the ‘M40i’ variant. The SUV coupe gets a 3-litre inline 6 cylinder turbo petrol engine, which comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The X4 M40i can sprint from nought to 100kmph in 4.9 seconds. It doesn’t have any direct rivals, but can be regarded as an sportier looking alternative to the X3 M40i.
