It is non other the musical maestro who has earned fame across the globe, AR Rahman. He received the keys of Chennai's first Toyota Etios recently. The Oscar winner musician has composed the background score for the Toyota Etios advertisements and also its theme song. The tune of Toyota Etios has attracted attention of the car aficionados. The Japanese auto giant expects to repeat the same magic for the hatchback whose launch has been delayed from April to June due to the long waiting period for Toyota Etios the sedan.

Toyota Etios, has bowled over the car aficionados since its launch and is becoming the first choice of the buyers. It has resulted in long waiting ques outside the showroom which can be accredited to the increasing demand for the sedan. However, now Toyota Kirloskar Motors is taking respective measures to reduce the waiting time. The steps includes second shifts to increase the production, also changing the takt time (manufacturing per car), enhancing the manufacturing and further delaying the hatchback Toyota Etios Liva launch. Toyota is planning to introduce Toyota hatchback in June instead of April.

Though Toyota is apologizing for the present situation and also for the delay in the launch but this looks like a measure which will help the company to curb the heavy order backlog. Currently it was being reported that Toyota Motors registered a hike of 55 per cent in its sales. The company has developed the cars by keeping the Indian conditions in mind and also the Indian buyers attitude. However, the other car models Toyota rolls out, belong to the premium segment. This is a volumious segmet in India and Toyota plans to capture withn its winning new car models.
