Toyota Etios to be launched in December this year

Toyota Motors, one of the leaders in car manufacturing is planning to introduce Toyota Etios in December this year. The company is shortly going to finish its different rounds of display of the model across various Indian cities which is why it states that everything has been finalized for the launch of the new Etios. Recently, Toyota Etios was in Bangalore. There, Toyota India MD Hiroshi Nakagawa commented that Toyota Etios will be pitched against cars like Hyundai i20 and Maruti Swift in the auto market of India. He further said that it was a challenge to create quality at a reduced cost. Nakagawa states that the Indian car market is one of the toughest markets of the world where the customers and car owners have become quite cost-conscious. Toyota has tried to reduce the price of its products by taking the components from the Indian market, in other words, localizing them.

Seventy percent of the components in the Toyota cars have been sourced locally along with a controlled price and uncompromised quality. In the global markets, the company is facing quality control pressures. That is why, the company has tried to keep the safety as well as quality characteristics as the main characteristics of the new Toyota Etios. Executive Vice President Yukitoshi Funo stated that for the production and the procurement team, bringing procurement cost to a very competitive level is really a very tough challenge. Initially the new Toyota Etios will be introduced in the Indian auto market and later on it will be launched in China and Brazil.

Also, Toyota Motors intends to repair about 1.53 million Avalon and certain other products all over the world which are going through certain problem with the fuel pump wiring and brake master cylinder seal. The trouble has been faced mainly in Japan and the Unites States. The company's announcement comes in less than two months' time. The company has also ordered the return of 1.3 million Toyota Corolla and Toyota Matrix from the United States and Canada. These vehicles had defects in the engine control and could have faced a lot of trouble in the market.
