Toyota initiates Training program in Ahmedabad

Toyota Kirloskar Motors Ltd (TKML) has launched a training model for paint and body repair at ITI Industrial Training Institute in Kubernagar. The model has been launched with Japanese Toyota Motor Corporation, and also with its country wise dealers under the educational programme known as Toyota Technical Education Programme (T-TEP).
As per the company officials, the programme T-TEP came in 2006 in India which now covers 18 institutions across the country. The programme includes extensive training which will help in enhancing talent and skills which is required for paint and body repair. As many as 550 ITI trainer students is expected to be benefited by the training in every year.
Apart, from the training programme Toyota Kirloskar Motor Lts, has also launched cultural programmes which was started in 1990 and till now has covered 56 concrts worldwide and has been functioning successfully in raising funds for varied charitable organizations.
Toyota is planning a memorable evening by organizing an event with Orchestra Citta de Firenze which has already done eight city tour across the globe and it is coming to its last destination Mumbai. The music lovers will also have the pleasure of hearing to the Padamshree awarded Saxophonist, Dr Kadri Gopalnath.
KMPL is also coming with its first small car Toyota Etios in India. The company plans to launch the car on the 1st of December. It is its first venture in small cars. Toyota has made A R Rahaman, brand ambassador for the new small car. With the launch of the small car the company wish to enjoy a bigger market share.
Toyota Motors also has expansion plans as they look forward to open new dealerships in India. As per the strategies made the company, it wish to own 10 per cent of the market share.
Toyota Kirloskar Motors Ltd, in 2010 October, grew by 17 per cent to 6,602 units which was 5,650 cars last year same period. The company recorded a growth of 49 per cent in the first three quarter over the last year's Q3 sales.
Toyota has extensive plans to expand in the market by introducing new vehicles, various programmes and has also decided on various strategies to be achieved in future.
Toyota Kirloskar Motors Ltd, is a joint venture of Toyota Motors and Kirloskar Group which looks after the sales and manufacturing of the company. Toyota Kirloskar Motors India stands at the 8th place among the car manufacturers in India. TKML, current unit is in Bangalore in Karnataka which has a capacity of manufacturing 80,000 cars in one year.
