Select dealerships are accepting unofficial bookings for a sum of Rs 1 lakh

  • The facelifted Innova Crysta features cosmetic updates on the exterior and interior.

  • It is likely to be powered by the same 2.7-litre petrol and 2.4-litre diesel engines as the current model.

  • Feature additions will likely include a new larger touchscreen system and an air purifier.

  • It is expected to command a premium of Rs 50,000 over the current model (priced from Rs 15.66 lakh to Rs 23.63 lakh ex-showroom Delhi).

Toyota launched the Indonesia-spec facelifted Innova Crysta in October 2020. It is expected to arrive in India by December first week. Now, select dealerships have commenced unofficial pre-launch bookings for Rs 1 lakh.

The Indonesia-spec model is likely to make its way here. It gets gloss-black front grille with chrome surround flanked by LED projector headlamps. Toyota has also revised the front bumper and it now gets vertically stacked turn indicators and circular LED fog lamps. Other exterior changes include new dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels (17-inch for the Venturer variant) and a thick black strip connecting the LED tail lamps.

Changes on the inside include a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a redesigned instrument cluster, and an all-black cabin. Unlike the Indonesia-spec facelifted Innova Crysta, the India-spec model is expected to come with a lighter theme for its cabin. The facelifted Innova Crysta is likely to carry forward features such as cruise control, keyless entry, and seven airbags.

The facelifted MPV is likely to be powered by the same engines as the current model: 2.4-litre diesel (150PS/360Nm) and 2.7-litre petrol (166PS/245Nm). Both are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and offer a 6-speed torque converter unit as an option.

Our dealer sources have revealed that the facelifted Innova Crysta is likely to draw a premium of Rs 50,000 over the current model that’s priced from Rs 15.66 lakh to Rs 23.63 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It will continue to rival the likes of the Mahindra Marazzo and Kia Carnival.
