Toyota Innova facelift unveiled in Malaysia

Toyota has finally unveiled the facelift version of its Multi Utility Vehicle Innova in Malaysia with base variant priced at 97,749 Malaysian Ringgit that is equals to Rs 18.13 lakh. The launch of the same is expected to be done in coming months. The facelift Innova includes extra safety features such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), dual SRS Airbag, and security lock alarm. While on the exterior one can see the aggressive chromed finished front grille, side blinkers on ORVMs, door side visor and rear wiper.

The interiors of the new Innova are also upgraded as now it includes wooden finish instrument cluster and gear knob, automatic climate control and optitron meter panel with multi-info display unit. In Malaysia, the facelifted Innova is offered only with 2.0-litre petrol engine that develops a power of 130bhp and torque of 181Nm. Since its a petrol engine, the automaker provides an option of five-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. However, the India bound facelift version will carry the 2.5-litre diesel engine that churns out a maximum power of 100bhp and peak torque of 200Nm. The engine comes mated with five-speed manual gearbox.
