Toyota Kirloskar Motor to hold “Toyota Classics”

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that it will organize a charity concert on 12th of November 2010, at 7pm in Mumbai. The concert will be called “The Toyota Classics 2010” – World of Harmony and it will be arranged at Jamshed Bhabha Theatre, National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai. The music lovers of Mumbai will get a lovely opportunity to enjoy the romance and drama of the famous Italian Orchestra Citta di Firenze with the renowned conductor Lorenzo Castriota Skanderbeg, popular tenor Leonardo Melani and the talented Vietnamese pianist Luu Hong Quang. This concert by Toyota Kirloskar Motor will let the audience experience a great evening with the great Italian classical music. This Italian Orchestra has been formed by certain most talented musicians of Italy. The orchestra has the aim of playing chamber music and also its repertoire.
This concert by Toyota Kirloskar Motor will also mark the presence of renowned Saxophonist Padmashree Dr. Kadri Gopalnath who will give a solo performance. Padmashree Dr. Kadri Gopalnath is known for his expertise of Carnatic music on saxophone. He has the honor of being the first carnatic musician who was invited to the BBC Promenade concert of 1994. The Italian orchestra has performed in various cities and in it’s eight city tour, India will be the last destination. The orchestra has given the beautiful performance of its repertoire in Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Bandar Seri Begawan, Bangkok, Seoul, Taipei, and Manila. The music sensation will now honor Mumbai with their performance. The concert will have the eminent personalities like His Excellency Mr. Hideaki Domichi, Japanese Ambassador to India and His Excellency Mr. Giacomo Sanfelice di Monteforte, Italian Ambassador to India.
This cultural programme called Toyota Classics was started by Toyota in 1990. Since the last two decades, one hundred and fifty four concerts have been organized all over the world for various charitable organizations. Toyota Classics came to India in 2008. Last time it successfully raised an amount of Rs 15, 00,000 for ‘Save The Children’. This time, the total proceeds from the concert will be donated to CRY (Child Rights and You). The tickets for this concert cost Rs 3000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1000.
