Toyota Planning to launch a new People Model in India

Toyota Kirloskar Motors one of worlds most popular automakers is now planning to capitalize its Indian operations by launching sub-Innova products in India. A senior executive of the Toyota Motors confirm that there are plans to bring in another vehicle in India after success of its Toyota Innova model in India. It is expected that the new car model will be launched in lower price segment then Toyota Innova. Toyota Motors is launching its Toyota Prius model in India the year 2010 as per the news reports.

The New Model is expected to be in the range of Rs 6 to Rs 8 lakhs. According to the company the new model is expected to be ready within two years and as it is obvious company don't want to harm good sales figure of its Toyota Innova model, company is expected to launch it in a lower segment of cars like 4 or 5 seater. According to the company this new model will be a People Mover and not a crossover like Toyota Innova.

At the same time the plan of launching a Toyota small car model in India is also on track. The company is working closely with its Indian network and at the same time the car is expected to be tasted in its home country Japan.
