Upcoming SUVs in India

2010 has been a great year for car lovers with the unveiling of great cars in India. The automobile market has seen some great lunches in almost every segment from SUVs to hatchbacks. One of the most recent addition to the club is Tata Aria by Tata Motors, the most talked about car in India. With the growth expected in the auto industry, there are more models expected. Lets take a sneak peak of the three new models which are expected to be out soon. They are:

Mahindra Ssangyong Korando

The Indian car maker Mahindra taking over the Ssangyong is expected to be out with the new car soon. If the rumors are to be believed the Korando C generation four will soon be out in the international market. Even as per the industry experts the company will be out with new launches in India.

Volvo XC60

Volvo XC60 a contemporary crossover soon to hit Indian Markets by November 24. The stylish looking Volvo XC60 is engineered to make it a safe car in almost all the categories. The crossover is anticipated to come in two versions petrol and diesel.

There will be two petrol engine variants, they are 3.2 AWD, 238hp and T6 AWD 285hp. However, the diesel engine version will have 2.4 D 175hp, 2.4D DRIVe 175hp and D5 AWD, 205hp. Volvo XC60 which has maintained its brand value, is crafted to be one of the safest ad high-tech cars.

BMW X1

BMW X1, the luxury segment car with a price tag of Rs 25 to 30 lakh (2.5-3 million) will hit the Indian market in five variants in diesel engine both in automatic and manual transmission.

The engines capacity of producing 177bhp of maximum power at 4000rpmwith 350 Nm of maximum torque at 1750-3000rpm will be available soon.

BMW X1 top end version will have the similar engine that produces 204bhp of maximum power at 4400rpm with 400Nm of maximum torque at 2000-2250rpm.

The premium luxury car will come with features like ABS (Antilock Braking System), dual front airbags and side ITS head airbags,EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution),alarm system with remote control features, engine immobilizer, central and child locking, front and rear anti roll bars, crash sensor, belt force limiter and side impact protection, front and rear fog lamps, halogen headlamps, front and rear seat belts with pre-tensioner.

The premium compact car is expected to be out with 1995cc, 4-cylinder, 16-valve, diesel engine that will generate 143bhp maximum power at 4000rpm with 320Nm of maximum torque at 1750-2500rpm.
