In a bid to keep the momentum going for the company during the economic slowdown, India's leading utility vehicle maker, Mahindra & Mahindra has now updated its flagship SUV Thar. The updates were made on the feedback received from customers.
The most important update made to the Thar is a new cross bar between the A Pillar and B-Pillar in order to improve body rigidity. Earlier, B-pillars used in Mahindra Thar used to flex and hit doors during bumpy rides. Then the company has also replaced the front axle's auto locking hubs with fixed flange set up.
In terms of interior changes, the Thar now gets air-con switches like Bolero VLX, rear seats have been lowered around 6mm to enhance headroom. And in the place of pins to attach canopy used in the old Mahindra has now been replaced by four screws, so to make it much easier to detach and re-attach the canopy as and when required. It used to break earlier due to pins.
All the above mentioned changes cost nothing to buyers, as the company has added no extra cost for all this. Stay tuned to CarDekho for all the latest updates on new and upcoming cars. Cheers!
