V-link Group launches Motor Works a state-of-the-art automotive service center in Mumbai

MERU”, the popular radio taxi service started by V-link Group in India, has opened the company's first automobile service center called “MotorWork” in Mumbai. The Meru taxi service has more than 5000 cabs available and V link has more than 1000 cabs serving in the country's best BPO and Corporate firms. This huge number has made V link group the biggest taxi service provider in India. This growing size of the cars and the expansion in the coming two years, has motivated the company to start a world class auto maintenance service centre. It will not only be looking for Meru cabs but also the V Link taxis and other retail consumers.
Neeraj Gupta, the Founder and Managing Director of Meru Cabs who was present at launch said that, “MotorWork”, the automobile service centre will help the company to offer best services which will change the consumers perspective towards the automobile services. The new facility will help the company to cut down on the maintenance pricing of the cabs and also the quality of the taxis. He added that quality plays a very important factor in the services given to the customers.
MotorWorks, is a world class service centre which is wide spread across 75000 sq ft area, is the largest service center in Mumbai situated at Mira road. The multi functional service center will help the company in all over services of the vehicle for example periodic services, CNG & air con, accident repairs, vehicle accessories, battery & tire replacement for the company vehicles but also for other retail customers. The service center will be opened for 24 hours in case of emergency and breakdowns and is equipped to take on 300 cars every day.
Mr Gupta, also said that in the next two years time, V-Link Automotive Services intends to start 8 to 10 big hubs in all the 4 metros in India. The Indian enterprise is 100 per cent subsidiary of the V-Link Group. It is expected that the service centre will be equipped to deal with more than 500 bays in an area of more than 300,000 sq.ft. He stated that the workshop will be of world class standard adorned with state of the art technology, machinery and will be looked after by professionals.
Mr Neeraj Gupta started V-Link with 2000 taxis in Mumbai by providing services to some of the best in BPO sectors in Mumbai, Gurgaon, Pune and Hyderabad. The fully owned enterprise of V-Link Group provides cab services under the car brand Meru. The radio taxi service was introduced in Mumbai by the India Value Fund which is a private equity fund in India. The financial input and management professionals from the premier India Value Fund, the Meru Cabs was able to set up the GPS/GPRS radio taxis in New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bangalore. At present 5,000 Meru Cabs are providing services in India.
