Volkswagen Group India bags four awards

Volkswagen India continues its celebration as the German car craftsman has won four automotive awards. These car awards given yesterday on the 4th of Jan are regarded as extremely prestigious in the auto industry.

Dr John Chacko, the Volkswagen Group Chief representative India and Neeraj Garg, the Director of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars Division, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd., received the award in the category of Premium Hatchback of the Year for its popular Volkswagen Polo. The Audi A4 TDI bagged the award in the Performance car of the Year category. Mr Clemens Ollmert Head of marketing Audi India accepted the award for its luxury car. Its another counterpart, Skoda Auto received the SUV of the year award for its winning car Skoda Yeti, the powerful sports utility vehicle. Mr Ashutosh Dixit, Senior General Manager of Sales and After Sales for Skoda India and Tarun Jha, the Head in Marketing for Skoda Auto India accepted the award. Dr Chacko also received the Motorsport of the Year award for the Volkswagen Motorsport.

Dr John Chacko, the Volkswagen Group Chief Representative India was extremely delighted and said that the auto company is extremely happy with the new success it has recently achieved which has brought name to the car brand. The company continuously strives to develop the car better and high in quality alongwith keeping in mind the requirements of its buyers.

In the domestic auto market, Volkswagen Group is a well established name and is growing fast in setting a new mark in India. At present, the three brand names in the Volkswagen Group offer 18 different car models in across all segments which hold its presence from top level cars to low end cars which are priced right and come with advanced technology.
