Recently, the Indian Auto market saw the most advertised and talked about auctions held online. This online auction was organized on Tuesday for T20 signed Volkswagen Passat Sedan. It was sold for a whopping price of Rs. 30 Lakh. And the reason behind such a whopping price is that this car was autographed by the T20 cricket teams. The money that was made by selling this car was further donated to WWF India, which is basically an organization that aims at preserving nature and wildlife.

The embellished Volkswagen Passat sedan was purchased by Mr. Saidas Malladi, a cricket fanatic from the IT city, Bengaluru. Mr. Saidas was also awarded with a cricket bat, which was specially autographed by captains of all T20 cricket teams. This auction lasted for 10 whole days and ended on May 10th 2011. Volkswagen India was pretty enthusiastic and excited as this auction literally had outshined the other charity auctions done so far, such as Coaching Camp with the little master (Sachin Tendulkar) and Lunch with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Both these auctions got the bid of Rs. 10.02 Lakh and Rs. 14.02 Lakh respectively. The auction of Volkswagen Passat India apparently will be counted amongst the most exclusive and pricey charity auctions of 2009, 2010 and 2011.
