The Polo car was showcased at the Delhi Auto expo in January and the model attracted a large number of visitors and automobile enthusiasts. The new Polo was launched with a price tag of Rs. 4.34 lakh (ex showroom New Delhi), but now it is available at Rs. 4.42 lakh (New Delhi Ex-showroom) due to 2% excise duty hike by the government, announced in the Union Budget. The deliveries of the new 1.2L 75HP Polo petrol variant has already been started across 42 Volkswagen dealerships. Delivery of the Polo 1.2L diesel variant will start from May 2010.
