Volkswagen, the German car marvel is all set to the début an all new VW Up (Commercially it will be called Lupo). The German auto major presented VW Up as a concept three years back in Frankfurt Auto Show will be presented a new entry level segment car. It is all set to give its first appearance in the Frankfurt Motor show. German Auto company has often proved its prowess with the technological wonders it has created time and again.

The new car does leave the car aficionados in awe of the technological advancement the new car comes with. This entry level car is a three door hatchback luxury which will come in two variants. A 1.2 litre TSI which will generate 84 hp and a 1.2 litre diesel engine which can generate 74 hp. Well to keep up with the new trend of green vehicles, the new small hatch will be also be coming in an electric version. The new baby from the Volkswagen, is speculated to come with a price tag of 10,000 Euros. From the sources, it is revealed that it will see the bigger versions of the small hatchback, may be a sedan or one step ahead, an MPV which will be a five door luxury.

Volkswagen Automotives will not be launching the new car in India. The reason that Up will not see the dawn in India is because Volkswagen cannot price the car under the current hatchback Volkswagen Polo. However if it ever sees the dawn in India, the new concept car might be manufactured at the Chakan plant.

The hatchback, Volkswagen Polo is in great demand in the Indian car market, it is priced at Rs 4,42,000 to Rs 6,82,500. Other than the Volkswagen Polo, the German manufacturer rules the market with 6 other models such as Volkswagen Beetle, Volkswagen Jetta, Volkswagen Vento, Volkswagen Phaeton, Volkswagen Passat, Volkswagen Touareg. Though with an extensive vehicle range Volkswagen is planning to fill the white space after Volkswagen Polo. The company will bring another small car which is speculated to be a revamped version of Maruti A-Star. The news is spreading like fire that, Volkswagen and Suzuki motors are planning to come with product range in the coming year. Though, not officially announced, Volkswagen wishes to fill the space after Volkswagen Polo and Maruti Suzuki India, is willing to bring the German technology on board in which the company is lacking.
