Volvo Cars India, the luxury car maker, is planning to introduce the compact SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) Volvo XC60 next month. The new SUV will be launched on November 24. The launch of this SUV will help in strengthening the presence of Volvo Cars India in the domestic market. By launching this model, the company will enter into the segment of compact luxury Sports Utility Vehicle. Besides this launch, the company also plans to extend its offering in the domestic segment of automarket. The company stated that the Volvo XC60 has got a unique appeal along with a strikingly sporty design and intelligent and smart safety systems.

Though the company has disclosed its plan of launching the SUV Volvo XC60 but still the company has not disclosed the price of this new SUV. Volvo Auto India, Managing Director Paul de Voijs commented that they believe in innovation in life and Volvo XC60 has got testimony to the company’s commitment. He also added that it is necessary to establish the differentiator in one's offering. The new Volvo XC60 will not only redefine the technological DNA of the company but it will also become an integral part of the volume of the expansion strategy for India going forward. The Indian customers will get new offerings with the expansion of the offerings of Volvo Cars India. The technological innovations of Volvo XC60 like laser and camera assisted automatic braking (city safety) will raise the bar in the segment of compact luxury SUVs.

Presently, Volvo retails 2 premium products in India - luxury sedan Volvo S80 and luxury SUV Volvo XC90. Presently, the company has got dealerships in Mumbai, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Kochi and Hyderabad. The company will also start a new dealerships in Pune, Coimbatore and Ahmedabad soon.
