VW’s 1.6 litre Polo out for delivery this October

VW will soon launch its small car Polo. The company had previewed a 1.6-litre petrol Polo model at the Auto expo, Delhi  which was held in January. This new small car will have a more powerful engine and the 1.6 litre 4-cylinder in-line motor will be available only in the highline variant. The new Polo will come with a 1598cc engine that will produce 103.5 bhp at 5250 rpm and 15.6 kgm of torque at 3750 rpm.
 
The manufacturer also claims that the large engine of Polo will be quicker by 3 seconds as compared to its three cylinder unit which has a reported top whack of 183.8kph . It will also provide a good speed of 183.8 kmph.
 
The good point worth mentioning is that the Volkswagen has already started with the booking part. The booking can be done through the down payment of Rs 50,000. As far as the deliveries are concerned, it will take place from October this year. It is estimated that the 1.6-litre Polo might be priced at Rs 7.10 lakh. This will be a real money- saver as it costs only Rs 43,000 more than the 1.2 petrol Highline variant. VW will disclose the exact price of Polo in a fortnight or so.
