Nissan, one of the leading auto makers from Japan has revealed the revamped Nissan Altima at the New York Auto Show. Originally when the car was launched in US around two decades back, it had radically changed the mid-size sedan segment and now once again the car is ready to revive itself as one of the most potent players in the segment. This car is known as Altima in the US and some other countries as well but for the Indian Car Market this car is known as Nissan Teana. Nissan’s success story is an interesting one, this brand is performing exceptionally well in some countries but in India the brand is having a difficult time to create an impression.
Although this car maker has started gripping the car market of India with Nissan Micra hatchback and Nissan Sunny sedan; these cars are doing well but still the brand has a long way to way and a luxury enriched mid-size sedan could be exactly what Nissan might need to leave a mark. The 2013 Nissan Altima for the US car market is an overwhelming car rich in style, performance, innovation and fuel economy. The features making Nissan Altima an unmatchable car in the segment include advanced Drive-Assist display, BOSE premium audio system, NissanConnectSM, tire pressure monitoring system, next-generation safety shield technologies, lane departure warning, moving object detection, standard Bluetooth hand-free phone system and streaming audio via Bluetooth and a lot more.
The design philosophy on the outsides as well as the insides is aggressive and class apart instilling a feeling of sophistication, elegance and indulgence. The car market of India has evolved to a great extent; the scope, dynamism and challenge it offers are luring luxury car makers from around the world to try their luck and they indeed are tasting success. If Nissan pulls a similar move on the Teana sedan, the fate of this Japanese car maker in India would turn around for sure. Nothing has been officially announced regarding the Nissan Teana 2013 but we can hope that Nissan India gets inspired by the success of Altima in US and other markets and decide to create history with Teana. We are sure Nissan guys are listening to us!
