XUV 500 registers 5900 plus booking applications within 2 days of re-opening

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), India’s leading SUV manufacturer, today announced that it has received an overwhelming 5900 plus booking applications from customers within just 2 days of re-opening bookings for its Mahindra XUV 500. Bookings for the Mahindra XUV 500 had re-opened on 25th January across 19 cities in India namely Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh / Panchkula, Ludhiana, Jallandhar, Patiala, Kochi, Trivandrum, Calicut, Trissur, Coimbatore, Nagpur and Nasik.

The Mahindra XUV 500 during the first phase of launch in October 2011, had received an overwhelming response of 8000 plus bookings in just 10 days across 5 cities. The second phase of bookings will be kept open for a period of 10 days from 25th January till 3rd February 2012. As a unique customer-centric measure, M&M has decided to undertake an Mahindra XUV 500 draw in this round of bookings in case the requests exceed 7200.

This will help in ensuring a reasonable waiting period for the customers selected in a fair and transparent manner. The draw process will be validated by the professional services firm, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt. Ltd (DTTIPL)* as per mutually agreed scope & terms between M&M and DTTIPL.
