Volkswagen (literally meaning “people’s car” in German) is a German Automobile manufacturer. Polo, super mini car is formed under the heads of Volkswagen. Volkswagen Polo can be seen as the emblem of the next generation. It is a blend of various things that youth look for such as great style, comfort, power, technology, speed etc.  It seems that the makers of this car have burnt their midnight oil to make this car turn into a youth icon. The Volkswagen group marked its entry into the Indian car market with Skoda, around ten years ago. This Europe’s car brand has been very successful on the Indian roads. In the diesel category, apart from this variant, there are two more variants available with the same engine capacity of 1.2L. This car also like all other cars comes with 5 speed manual transmission gearbox to ensure better acceleration and performance. This car gives a very good mileage of 15.5kmpl in city and 21kmpl on highways.

Braking and Handling

This blend of style and design is packed with large ventilated disc brakes at the front wheels and drum brakes at the rear wheels. This car offers effective handling with a turning radius of 4.97m which is good as compared to the length of this car which is long when compared to the other cars of the segment. This small turning radius helps in turning the car in short space or in heavy traffic. Polo’s steering is much more electric and smooth when compared to other cars such as Ford Figo.

Safety Features

There is a lot to mention about this car when it comes to safety features. Apart from great style, comfort leisure its makers have made sure that safety is the topmost priority of its customers. There are 3 point automatic safety belts and also a lap belt in the middle to ensure that the shocks are minimized while driving . The car which his so smooth and elegant in its design from inside is quite tough from outside. It is because of its body which is made up of high strength steel. Passengers at the rear as well as at the front can adjust their heads according to their comfort zone with the help of height adjustable headrests. The third break light is slightly high mounted so that any vehicle which is behind can see it and maintain appropriate distance. Another feature to add on is warning triangle which comes with a holder in a trunk cover. There are fog lamps at the front and rear to ensure better vision. The presence of airbags at the front ensures that the passengers have a safe journey.
