Volkswagen Vento 1.5 TDI Highline is the top end trim in its model line up. This variant is powered by a new 1.5-litre engine that displaces 1498cc. It has the ability to churn out a maximum power of 103.5bhp in combination with 250Nm of maximum torque output. In terms of appearance, it has best in class body style with great fit and finish. The company has accentuated this sedan with a lot of chrome treatment that makes it look alluring. This facelifted version gets some minor cosmetic updates like refreshed bumper along with wide air dam, revamped radiator grille and and headlight cluster. Its rear end is fitted with a body colored bumper that has a pair of bright fog lamps. The large windscreen is accompanied by a defogger along with wash and wipe function. The expressive boot lid is embossed with variant and model badging. Apart from these, it also has striking taillight cluster, green wedge at top section of windscreen, chrome finish on trunk and front fog lamps.
Interiors:
The interiors of this variant are designed using high quality scratch resistance plastic material. The dashboard is equipped with several equipments, which are a large glove box with cooling effect, an advanced instrument panel, a leather wrapped steering wheel with piano black detailing and AC vents. Its updated center console with matte black finish and flat bottom steering wheel gives the cabin a decent look. It can unleash a maximum power of about 103.5bhp at 4400rpm in combination with a peak torque output of 250Nm between 1500 to 2500rpm. It is incorporated with a common rail based direct injection fuel supply system, which helps in churning out 17.25 Kmpl and 20.34 Kmpl on the city and bigger roads respectively.
Braking and Handling:
The front wheels are fitted with a set of disc brakes, while rear gets a set of conventional drum brakes. This mechanism is further assisted by anti lock braking system. On the other hand, the front axle is assembled with a McPherson strut, which has a stabilizer bar. Whereas, the rear axle is equipped with a semi independent trailing arm type of mechanism.
