Power output of both the mills are 75PS and 84.3PS respectively. This hatchback is the 3rd best selling car with 18,278 units sold in September 2015. On the exteriors, it has a longer bonnet, new hexagonal grille and redesigned headlamps. On the safety part, airbags and ABS protect you in a condition of collision. On the occasion of the first anniversary of the vehicle, the automaker introduced the ‘Celebration Edition’ of the car.

5. Maruti Celerio (INR 4.7-5.7 Lac):

Moreover, Celerio is the only car in the country to offer petrol, CNG, diesel along with manual and automatic transmission options. The new Celerio DDiS125 gives a power output of 47.6 bhp. The car incorporates a boot space of 235 liters which can further be increased with 60:40 split seat folding. Driver and passenger airbags and ABS are the main safety features in the top end variant of the car.

6. Honda City (INR 7.6-11.9 Lac):

Honda brought City to our shores back in January 1998 and the 4th generation of Honda City which was released in January 2014, has helped to shape the C-segment sedan’s future in India. The car comes at 8th position in best selling cars of the country with a sale of 5,702 units in September 2015. The diesel version of the car offers a whooping mileage of 26 kmpl and 98.6 bhp of power. Both front and rear look more premium with taillights now extending into tailgate. Rear bumper looks less heavy and sportier along with a shark fin roof antenna. A new dashboard, new instruments, start-stop button, longer wheelbase (70mm) and enhanced roof height (10 mm) makes the vehicle one segment higher. Dual airbags and ABS enhances the safety.

Based on CMF-A platform, this sporty looking vehicle gives a mileage of 25.17 kmpl with a power delivery of 53.3 bhp in the petrol motor. The French automaker offers a segment first touchscreen infotainment system, driver airbags, crash sensors and engine immobilizer with this small sized hatchback.

8. Mahindra XUV 500 (INR 11.5-16.4 Lac):

Mahindra XUV 500 was first introduced in September 2011. The new avatar of the cheetah-inspired SUV was launched in the last week of May 2015. On the basis of diesel fuel type and automatic transmission, the car rules the number one position in the best selling cars’ list of the country. With a fuel economy of 16.0 kmpl, the engine puts out a power of 140 bhp. The front is completely redesigned boasting new projector headlamps with ‘S’ shaped daytime running LEDs. Other major exterior improvements include a new bumper with wider air dam, new alloy wheels and plenty of chrome garnishing. Electric sunroof, 7-inch infotainment system, keyless entry and 6-way power seats are the inside changes.
