Mahindra Scorpio

Ever since Mahindra launched the Scorpio back in 2002, it has developed a cult following. The Scorpio was the first Mahindra built for international markets and it did do reasonably well in markets like South Africa and Brazil. The Scorpio has been a favorite among the political and the influential class too. The butch looks and the huge proportions scream ‘Get out of the way’. The Scorpio is powered by the 2.2 litre mHawk diesel engine which puts out 120bhp of power and 280nm of torque and is available in 2 and 4 wheel drive versions. The SUV in it’s latest avatar has become quite sophisticated. Well, atleast on the inside. It features an all-new dashboard, an updated infotainment system and the steering wheel from it’s elder brother - the XUV5OO. Starting at 8.7 lakhs rupees, you do get a lot of car for your money.
