2012 Honda CR-V to be manufactured from Ontario plant

Honda Motors is not the one to give in to some lame excuses, not even to its recently flood affected Thailand unit. All new Honda cars will be launched as scheduled and the new Honda CR-V will be no exception. It's not a secret that the new Honda CR-V is in the making, but a slight variation that crept in, is the shift in 2012 Honda SUV production from the it's Ohio plant in USA to its Ontario, Canada unit. The Honda CR-V SUV has always been the one to be produced at the Marysville plant in Ohio, but the Japoanese car manufacturer had made some last minute changes and shifted the operations to the Alliston, Ontario unit to have the new Honda SUV to be rolled out from the Canada manufacturing plant this time. Honda Motors has faced a huge upheaval in its production ever since the typhoon hit its Thailand unit from where underbody parts and the electronic components are rolled out to supply its manufacturing units in the other parts of the world. Honda Motors sales growth has literally come to a stand still in all the car markets including India which happens to be the key market for its growth. Honda had to even curb the production of its latest car which took off just then, the Honda Brio in India while retaining the abysmal production of Honda Jazz. All the same Honda India had been optimistic through out which not only took part in the 2012 Auto Expo, but had also brought the recently launched 2012 Honda City and simultaneously unveiled its latest break-through, the new 1.6 L iDTEC diesel engine hoped to power the Honda Civic sedan and other Honda cars from its line-up. But, does this mean, the new Honda diesel engine will power the 2012 Honda CR-V as well is the question that clearly calls for attention. Speculations apart, the new CR-V will be rolled out for a global launch in 160 different countries singularly developed at its Ontario plant upon which the Canadians are literally rejoicing over.
