Volkswagen Up! And Skoda Citigo, both five door hatchback have inspired its subsidiary and Spanish automaker, Seat to come up with its own derivation of five door hatchback. This new five car from Seat will be known as Seat Mii and would be sold in the Spanish car market. Just like Skoda, in terms of price and positioning, the Spanish Seat will be placed just below Volkswagen Up! The 2011 Seat Mii hatchback will share the engines and the platform with Volkswagen Up!
The 2012 Seat Mii has been stylized thoroughly and the front end of the car has been bestowed with refreshed headlamps, new bumpers and better grille, which helps it to distinguish itself from Volkswagen Up! and Skoda Citigo. Coming to the rear end of Seat Mii, the car continues the style and gets new tail lamps accompanied with a hatch lid. The three cylinder 1 litre of petrol engines of the 2012 Seat Mii will be low on emissions and will be frugal. Two engine tunes will produce maximum power of 59 and 75 BHP, respectively.
These engines will be intelligently mated with five speed manual or automatic gearbox. The start-stop system along with regenerative braking will further add charm to the 2012 Seat Mii five door hatchback. On one hand, Volkswagen Up! and Skoda Citigo are ready to get electric variants, whereas 2012 Seat Mii has no such plans for the time being.
However, on the other hand, just like Skoda Citigo and Volkswagen Up, Seat Mii will also have seating capacity for four and is basically designed as a fuel efficient city car. So far, there is no news when Skoda Citigo, Volkswagen Up! and Seat Mii will come to India, but one could expect that these could be launched in India as Indian car market is one of the most thriving car markets across the globe.
