Hyundai Santa Fe crossover is one of the most celebrated cars of Hyundai and now the company has decided to retool it so it can bring about success in the face of this competition. Hyundai is a little too late in releasing a revised version of Santa Fe as the rival brands have been constantly improving the model line up. But this company is not an ordinary player and is all set to reveal not one but two brand new models of Hyundai Santa Fe in the upcoming New York Motor Show 2012.

The new models are said to be blessed with a lot styling, content and value which would be sufficient to raise the level of competition for its rivals. One of the two new models of Santa Fe will feature 3 rows that will comfortably seat 7 passengers and evidently the car will sit on a longer wheelbase. There would be an increase in the overall dimensions of the car too that include the length, width and height. The 2013 version is richer in space than the old Sport version of Santa Fe which has gained 3.9 inches in wheelbase, 8.5 inches in length, 1.9 inches in the second-row legroom and 5.6 cubic feet in cargo space. The second model will return as Santa Fe Sport with the same 2 rows capable of seating 5 passengers.

The ‘Storm Edge’ chapter from Hyundai’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ book is used in the anatomy of the 2013 models of Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport. The Storm Edge design theme is said to be inspired by the dynamic images formed by the nature during a storm. The front of the car is furnished with the familial hexagonal grille, rising beltline and strong character lines. Hyundai has very well pulled off the new design strategy across its product range which makes the models distinctive and strikingly beautiful.

The interiors of the new Santa Fe are too upgraded with heated rear seats and an optional eight-way power driver’s seat. The dash too gets stylish with Hyundai’s Blue Link telemetric system. The cloth seats have undergone a fabric treatment for strain resistance and added longevity; heated steering wheel and panoramic sunroof are added to the high end models. Hyundai will be rolling out the 2013 Santa Fe Sport in late summer and the larger Santa Fe in January 2013.
