2014 Fiat Punto facelift spied, launch by mid-2014

CarDekho has been constantly informing you about Fiat's aggressive product and expansion plans for the Indian car market. The company has announced that it will launch 4 cars this year, out of which three were unveiled at the recently concluded Auto Expo. The Italian carmaker unveiled the facelifted Linea, Avventura crossover and its performance oriented Abarth500. Adding to the list, the company is all set to introduce the refurbished Punto hatchback, which is likely to make its debut by the mid-2014.
The Fiat Punto facelift has been spotted during its test rounds on Fergussan College road in Pune. Mr. Visha Gaurav from Team Fiat Motor Club Facebook has managed to click the vehicle, giving us some information about the changes given to hatchback.
The Punto facelift gets a new front fascia, which now features restyled headlamp, bumper and foglamps. The side profile looks identical to the current model, however it now has new alloy wheels to offer more sporty character. The spotted hatch has new reflectors on rear bumper and newly formulated stop-lights.
Inside the cabin, the Fiat Punto facelift gets several updates which distinguish it from the current generation hatchback. The vehicle comes loaded with new upholstery seats and redesigned dashboard. It also has new instrument cluster and circular air vents.
Mechanically, the car is expected to remain same- two petrol engines and 1 diesel mill. While the oil burner gets the tried and tested 1.3-litre Multi-jet engine, the petrol version gets 1.2-litre and a 1.4-litre engines.
