2014 Land Rover Discovery facelift Spied ahead of Frankfurt debut

The 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show is all set to sizzle and surprise the world by accommodating some unexpected vehicles. Media is still guessing the possible vehicles that will make their way to Frankfurt, and what is increasing curiosity for the event is that several new products are regularly making headlines to be shown there. This time, it is 2014 Land Rover Discover facelift has been spied, which will also make its official debut at the Frankfurt Show.

WorldCarFans managed to click the mildly facelifted Discovery during its test rounds. Land Rover will fix slim LED strips on the vehicle, which we also witness on the new Range Rover and Evoque. The front grille of the 2014 Discovery also gets makeover, and now have elliptical cut-outs for the headlights. The vehicle also sports a newly formulated fog lights, and the exterior mirrors are now given turn indicator. The rear end of the facelifted Discovery has also received some styling treatments and now has a completely new taillight configuration.

The 2014 Land Rover Discovery will be powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine that develops 380bhp, which also does duty in Jaguar F-Type S, mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine will replace the bigger 5.0-litre V8 naturally-aspirated engine.
