Mercedes-Benz India is working aggressively to regain its top position as the luxury car manufacturer, and in order to do so it launched the new A-Class premium hatchback. The luxury hatch has received an overwhelming response, and 400 bookings of the car have already been done in just 10 days. The German auto-major is now aiming to launch some new cars and makeovers of its existing vehicles in the Indian car market, and the new E-Class will be the next vehicle to be introduced. It is also speculated that Mercedes-Benz is also considering to launch the 2014 S-Class in the Indian car market. The company has officially begun production of its all-new 2014 S-Class sedan at its Sindelfingen, Germany, plant.
Mercedes-Benz has organised a small ceremony at the production facility, where the company has spent $1.33 billion to ready it for the production of S-Class. Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board and head of Mercedes cars said, "2013 is the year of the S-Class. We are driving forward our model offensive in the luxury segment. The new S-Class is opening up additional opportunities for us in the market". The new S-Class sedan boats an impressive collection of technologies, and the model achieves maximum efficiency with its combination of class-leading aerodynamics and sophisticated engines.
The 2014 S-Class flagship sedan comes equipped with various features like new front grille, dominant and more upright, newly styled LED tail lights and many more. The car's dynamic exterior blends seamlessly with the interior, showcasing exquisite materials and premium finishes throughout. Various intelligent technologies are added in the new S-Class- all-LED lighting both inside and out, an innovative AIR-BALANCE package with “active perfuming” to keep the cabin fresh, armrest heating and multifunction seats with an ENERGIZING massage function. More interestingly, the all-new Online system is added with a central 12.3-inch TFT touch screen control panel that offers several new functions, including interactive navigation content with real-time traffic information, plus an innovative multi-user system that allows independent access to entertainment features from any seat.
In order to improve the comfort level, it comes equipped with a Magic Body Control- the world's first suspension system that scans the road ahead for bumps and automatically adjusts the car's suspension in advance.
