2014 Skoda Yeti production starts at Kvasiny plant

Skoda, the Czech automaker has commenced the production of its flagship 2014 Yeti SUV at its Kvasiny manufacturing unit. Unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the popular SUV is now available in two variants- the elegantly-stylish Yeti for the City, and the adventurous Yeti Outdoor. Both models feature new designs, fresh interiors and innovative technical features. It is the first ever Skoda to sport a rear-view camera.

The new Yeti now sports an updated front, new rear and broader range of wheels. Inside the cabin, the vehicle now has three-spoke steering wheels, fabrics and patterns for the seat covers, as well as new decorative trim for the dashboard. The variant for the urban areas features smooth lines and body coloured bumpers, sills and side strips. For off-roading lovers, the Yeti outdoor has a noticeably more rugged look than the two-wheel drive Yeti.

Both Yeti's comes equipped with the same engine configuration which includes four diesel and three petrol powertrain options. The vehicle will be made available in both manual and automatic version- a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed DSG or a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
