2014 SsangYong Korando C Unveiled, to launch in India as well

SsangYong Motor has now unveiled the new Korando C at the Seoul Marina in Yeouido. The similar vehicle will also be launched in India most likely in 2014. The new Korando C has received a major facelift including an all new interior design and body, as well as more convenient features. The company calls the all new Korando C a premium urban leisure vehicle (ULV), which defines that the vehicle will target the urban buyers who are looking for premium SUVs.
The brand slogan selected by the company for the new Korando C is ‘Urban Adventure’, which expresses the fusion of urban driving with outdoor adventure. The company is promoting this vehicle a new type of SUV, designed for the outdoor leisure activities and thrill of driving. The vehicle was first launched in 2011, and it has been doing pretty well in its home market, now with the more attractive appearance both inside and out, the company believes it will be a trendsetter in the SUV market.
New Koranado C now features projector headlamps with a black bezel and LED position lights. The grill has been given in the same color as the vehicle body, along with chrome molding, while air intake grill is in line with the bumper. The rear too has redesigned to make it look different than before. It now gets a C-Shaped guide light and the embossed 'Kornando C' tag.
The new Korando has also received some new features inside the cabin, to match with the sporty style of the vehicle and to enhance the driving comfort. The style of the instrument panel is perfectly balanced by the natural and subtle, non-glossy wood grain, creating a classy atmosphere that is rarely found in other vehicles in its class. The car has also been offered with a red leather seat option. The driver seat features forced ventilation in the seat cushion and backrest, with two-level fan speeds, to keep extra cool and dry in the summer.
The 2014 Korando C has not only received the cosmetic updates, but the engine too has been optimized to improve efficiency of the vehicle by up to 8.4% when driving in Eco Mode. This means that the fuel economy of the vehicle has now gone up to 12.9kmpl in 2-Wheel Drive (Automatic Transmission). While the manual transmission version of the car returns an impressive 17.2kmpl in 2-Wheel Drive.
