Is the 2018 Jazz capable enough to dethrone the segment bestseller? We find out.
Honda has launched the 2018 Jazz in India. It is the first update since the third-gen Jazz was launched in India in 2015. However, it is not a major one. While hatchback remains unchanged, it gets an updated feature list. Honda has also altered the Jazz’ variant lineup. We have already done a detailed analysis of the 2018 model year Honda Jazz’ variants now let’s see how it fares against the similarly priced, segment bestseller, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.

So, the Baleno remains our pick here as it continues to offer better value for money. The introduction of cruise control with existing paddle shifters is a thoughtful addition to the Jazz in our opinion.

Verdict: As the case with the petrol version, the diesel Baleno, too, excels as far as the value for money proposition is concerned. It is better equipped than the Jazz while being more affordable. So, we will recommend you to go for the Maruti Baleno Zeta over the Jazz S.
